Sand Lake "(French: lac Sand)" is a lake in Parry Sound District, Ontario, Canada [ [http://www.onterm.gov.on.ca/geo/details_e.asp?letter=s&ind=251 Ontario GeoNames Index] ] . The unincorporated community of "Sand Lake, Ontario" is found on the shores of Sand Lake [ [http://atlas.nrcan.gc.ca/site/english/search/search_results?expression=Sand+Lake Atlas of Canada - Sand Lake] ] . Sand Lake is also host to many cottages, and much of the shore of the lake consists of a sandy beach just as the name of the lake suggests. The remainder of the shoreline is Precambrian rock of the Canadian Shield.
Sand Lake is part of the Magnetawan River system.
