nihongo|Jun Kazama|風間 準|Kazama Jun is a fictional character from the "Tekken" series. She is the mother of Jin Kazama. Her status is currently labeled as "Missing."

Appearance

Jun Kazama is a young Japanese woman with big, dark eyes and shoulder length black hair. She always has a short fringe and wears a hairband at all times. in Tekken 2, she has two outfits. the first consists of a white sleaveless shirt with two parallel lines of buttons, kneelength black trousers, black shoes, white socks that are wide at the ankle and a white hairband. Her second outfit consists of blue shorts, a short blue top, knee high blue socks, brown shoes and a blue ribbon in her hair. In Tekken Tag Tournament, Jun has the same two outfits but also has a new one that consists of dark blue shorts, trainers, gloves, a dark karate style shirt and a white headband tied around her forehead. She is also often seen wearing a knee length white dress with matching high heels and the same white hairband from Tekken 2. This outfit is not selectable in any game.

Personality

Jun Kazama is famous for being an unbelievably kind and gentle person. She is often referred to as an angel, and some people actually believe she is an angel. She is brave and loyal, and would do anything to protect her son, Jin. She has a very strong connection with nature, and animals seem to love her, as they come to her when she walks in the forests. (As seen in her Tekken 2 ending) She is definitely persistent, as she would not give up when trying to free Kazuya Mishima from the devil within him.

Family

Jun is the mother of Jin Kazama, due to having had a relationship with Kazuya Mishima. This means she is distantly related to the Mishima's, including Kazuya's father, Heihachi Mishima and grandfather Jinpachi Mishima. Jun has a niece, Asuka Kazama, which hints that she has a sibling. We don't know who Jun's parents are, but we do know that her father is dead, because in Tekken 2, it says that Jun was visited by the ghost of her father.

Rivals

Jun isn't really the kind of person who would want rivals, as she just wants the world to be at peace. The only rivalry she has is with Devil, as he attacked her when she was pregnant and attempted to possess her unborn child.

Other Roles

Jun appears as the main character in the Tekken OVA entitled, "". The story focuses on Jun, as she tries to free Kazuya from the evil within him and to stop him from killing his father Heihachi.Jun is also set to appear in the 2009 live action Tekken movie. She will be portrayed by Tamlyn Tomita.

History

Tekken 2

Jun is an officer of the WWWC, a wildlife protection organization. She is called "The Chosen One" by her relatives. She is highly psychic and can sense a mysterious power surrounding Kazuya Mishima, which turns out to be the Devil Gene threatening to turn him into a demonic version of himself. At the WWWC's orders, she sets out to arrest Kazuya, who smuggles environmentally-protected animals.

When the King of Iron Fist Tournament 2 was coming to an end, Jun comes to the stunning realization that Kazuya's supernatural strength stems from Devil. But she cannot help being drawn to him, propelled by a mystic force beyond her control.

Tekken 2 Ending

We see birds flying over a large forest. A variety of animals, including a deer, a horse and a squirrel stop what they are doing and look towards a yellow bus heading their way. The bus stops, and out steps Jun Kazama. She closes her eyes and takes a deep breath. She walks into the forest, where she is greeted by the birds, the deer, the horse and the squirrel. She strokes the horse before one of the birds lands on her shoulder. She then bends down and allows the squirrel to climb up her arm and rest on her other shoulder. The scene cuts to Jun sitting on the horse with both her legs down one side and her hands in her lap. The horse stops and Jun jumps off. She walks a little further and begins to watch the sunset.

Tekken 3

During the King of Iron Fist Tournament 2, Jun became pregnant by Kazuya Mishima. At the conclusion of the tournament, Devil left Kazuya and attempted to possess Jun's unborn child. Jun however, proved to be superior and defeated Devil, before fleeing to the forest's of Yakushima, where she intended to raise her child away from evil and danger. She later gave birth to a baby boy who she named Jin. 15 years after the birth of her son, Jun sensed the approaching of Ogre and warned Jin to seek out his grandfather Heihachi Mishima should anything happen to her. One night, Ogre did indeed attack. Jun screamed for Jin to run away, but he wished to protect his beloved mother from Ogre and charged at him, but was well outmatched and was quickly knocked unconscious. When Jin woke up, the Kazama's house had burned to the ground and Jun was missing. Jin searched frantically through the rubble, but couldn't find his mother anywhere. Jin assumed that Jun was dead and swore revenge on Ogre.

Tekken Tag Tournament

Jun is a playable character in Tekken Tag Tournament. She has multiple new moves and is the same age as she was in Tekken 2. She appears in both intros, The EMBU, her own ending and devil's ending.

Tag Tournament Ending

Jun finds her son Jin Kazama partially transformed into Devil Jin unconscious on the floor. Jun crouches by Jin's side and puts her hand gently on his head. A brief flash of white light appears. after the light fades, we see that the devil markings on Jin's head have disappeared. Jun smiles lovingly down at Jin. He regains consciousness and sits up. He looks around for his savior but realizes that no one is there. Jun has disappeared once again.

Tekken 4

In Tekken 4, Jin had defeated his father Kazuya Mishima and grandfather Heihachi Mishima. He was just about to deliver the final blow to Heihachi when a flash of white light distracted him. He looked at the light and saw his mother, Jun, standing by his side. He threw Heihachi to the ground and told him to: "Thank my mother, Jun Kazama." before sprouting wings and breaking through the roof. Whether it was Jun's soul or Jin's vision is still questionable, since her status is labeled as missing.

Tekken 5

In the optional Devil Within minigame, Jin is searching for a way to rid himself of the Devil Gene that he is cursed with, when he finds clues that lead him to believe that his mother, Jun, is still alive. He immediately sets out in search of her, but it turns out they were only rumours that (ironically) lead him to find a revived and stronger Ogre, the one that was responsible for his mother's disappearance.
