The 2008 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup will be held in New Zealand from 28 October to 16 November 2008. It will be the officially recognized world championship for women's under-17 national football teams. This will be the first women's world youth championship organized by FIFA with the age limit of 17.

Host Cities

Matches will be played in four New Zealand cities
* The Auckland conurbation, New Zealand's largest metropolitan area, will host the final and 3rd place playoff. The designated host stadium is located in North Shore City.
* Hamilton will host two of the quarter-finals.
* Wellington, New Zealand's capital city, will host two of the quarter-finals.
* Christchurch, the only host city in the South Island, will host the semi-finals.

Pool matches will be spread evenly among these cities. The host nation, New Zealand, will be based mostly in Auckland but will play one pool match in Wellington.
