Eino Kaarlo Ilmari Jutikkala (
24 October 1907 inSääksmäki -22 december 2006 inHelsinki ), to 1931 his surname was Rinne, was a Finnish historian,professor emeritus in economic history atHelsinki University 1950-54 and professor emeritus in Finlands history 1954-74.Eino Jutikkala has written about collective phenomenons in history, and his works has mainly treated social and economic history. Jutikkala's big production consists of the Early modern times economic history and historic
demography . He has developed an independent research method, were fiscal sources are combined with a broader width of source material. The advantage is a greater sense of objectivity. Because of his methods the Finnish local history research has improved its quality to a great extent.
