Adam Faith Soon signed to Chrysalis, Wildlife released Burning in 1980.
The band moved labels to
Led Zeppelin ownedSwan Song Records for the 1983 self titled follow up, featuringSimon Kirke on drums. The band were also managed for a short period by Peter Grant. Swan Songs demise in 1983 meant the album was under promoted, and an American release was cancelled. The band split soon after.Overlands next major project was AOR/Hard melodic rock UK band
FM who's initial Portrait issued album was called Indiscreet.The next album appeared with serious financial backing, through Epic.
Tough It Out saw the band at their commercial peak, scoring minor UK chart hits with Bad Luck, Frozen Heart and Let Love Be The Leader. The band toured as headline artists, as well as undertaking support slots withBon Jovi ,Tina Turner andMeatloaf Chris Overland left the band in 1991, to be replaced by ex Visage, and ASAP man
Andy Barnett . The band releases Music For Nations Takin' It To The Streets and the single release (and cover)Heard It Through The Grapevine , and the band continue to record and tour, ending there run with Dead Man's Shoes.The late 90's sees Overland reform with his first solo project
SO! along with FM (and ex-Samson) drummerPete Jupp , andWishbone Ash bass playerBob Skeat . Brass Monkey was released on a very small scale twice, copies of either release are difficult to come by.This decade has seen Overland record prolifically, with outfits The Ladder, Shadowman, and laterly with his May 2008 solo album release.
2007 sees FM reform for a one off gig at
Nottingham 's Rock City.He appeared in the Broadway show
Dreamtime (musical) which had a successful run at TheEd Sullivan Theater .External links
