Furtwangen University of Applied Sciences . After completion, the students are awarded the degree "Master of Science " in Business Consulting.The Program
The
Master of Science in Business Consulting program prepares students for employment in the fields of business consultancies and standard software consultancies. Graduates of this program are able to analyze, optimize, monitor and control structures in business organizations. In particular, courses deal with goods-, cash- and information flows and the integration of appropriate software systems.Main emphases of the Master Program are placed on:
*Business Intelligence ,Supply Chain Management ,Customer Relationship Management ,Accounting ,Controlling , eBusiness Technology and Online-Marketing
* Program construction, Software development, Business Process Management based on ARIS
* Business Processes based on Standard-Software like mySAP® ERP and Microsoft Dynamics
* Project Management, Teamwork, Self Management, Presentation and Moderation skills and Managing Consulting CompaniesThe length of the program is three semesters, including two taught semesters and another one set aside for thesis work.

The Faculty
The faculty of Business Applications of Computer Science was established in 1971 by the Furtwangen University, making it the first institution in Germany to teach the subject. For decades, the department has consistently ranked among the best in its field.
Modern laboratories and advanced study & research equipment support teaching and facilitate learning. The size of classes is usually small; students and staff know each other. The department cooperates closely with the industry and thereby stays in close touch with current developments and employers.
Ranking of Furtwangen University
In a ranking among German university programs the Furtwangen Wirtschaftsinformatik study-programs have been ranked as the 2nd best according toCHE Hochschulranking 2005/06.
In recent university rankings, carried out byStern Magazine (Stern Spezial Studienführer 2003) and the Center for University Development, we are the only information systems department that received the highest score possible in the categories surveyed.
In yet another survey among IT human resources managers by the magazine Wirtschaftswoche (Edition 32/2002 and 04/2004), the University of Applied Sciences Furtwangen was ranked among the top 5 leading universities.
