Mark E H Barton

Mark Barton is the second longest serving anchor at Bloomberg Television (UK).

Mark was educated at Stonyhurst College, Exeter University and Royal Holloway College, University of London graduating with a BA in History and English.

Mark began his career at Guaranteed Communications and later The Royal Bank of Scotland before joining Bloomberg in 1995. Currently he is the host of Bloomberg Television’s ‘Before the Bell’. He has interviewed HRH Prince Andrew and Bill Gates.

In his spare time, Mark is an accomplished chef and also a respected self taught scholar of the Chinese imperial archives at Loyang, where he has studied the Shih Chi by Ssu-ma Chien, with a focus on the works of Lao Tzu.

Mark is also a devoted Liverpool FC fan with his favourite player of all time being Kenny Dalglish.
