i'minlikewithyou, also known as IILWY or iilwy (Read: I'm in like with you) is a New York City based, entirely built in Flash casual online gaming, dating, and people auction website.

History

i'minlikewithyou emerged from the YCombinator program, but remained in stealth mode for the first six months. Charles and Dan used Amazon EC2 and S3 services as part of their infrastructure. The website was launched late in 2006 as a private beta version. After testing, the founders sent "invites" to friends so that they too could test and send feedback. On May 2007, entrepreneur and co-founder of Digg, Kevin Rose made an investment to the site. Early in 2008, the website launched the games "Dinglepop" and "Draw my thing". In late May 2008, i'minlikewithyou launched their fourth game, "Gemmers".

Arcade

i'minlikewithyou currently has five games; Blockles, Dinglepop, Draw My Thing, Gemmers and still beta testing, Hamster Battle.

Blockles

Blockles is the oldest and most popular game in i'minlikewithyou.Fact|date=August 2008 It is based on the classic game Tetris, but in Blockles, players have the option to play with Items. Players also have the option to play without them, making it more similar to the classic game. To play, use the arrow keys to rotate blocks and hit the spacebar to drop them quickly to the bottom of the screen. Players can either join a game hosted by another user or create your own if you're a registered user. Matches can have just a few players, or as many as 8. If you break two or more lines apart at the same time, each of your competitors will get a new line of blocks. Dinglepop

Dinglepop was launched early in 2008. It was the second game launched by i'minlikewithyou. It's very similar to the classic game Snood. To play, you have to match at least 3 like colored dinglepops and free them before they are pushed past the dotted line. Much like "Blockles", there are items that you are able to use against your opponents to further your chances of winning. Draw My Thing

Draw My Thing was launched early in 2008. It was the third game launched by i'minlikewithyou and is the second most popular game of the website. This is the only game in which Items are not used. You have 60 seconds to create an image based on a pre-selected word for up to 7 people to correctly identify. If you are not able to convey the message, no points are awarded to anyone. You will receive one point for drawing a correctly guessed word and two for guessing correctly. [ [http://tastyblogsnack.com/2008/05/07/draw-my-thing/ TastyBlogSnack.com - Draw my thing] ]

Gemmers

Gemmers was launched late in May 2008.Fact|date=August 2008

Hamster Battle

In September 2008, i'minlikewithyou launched their fifth game, Hamster Battle. It is currently in beta testing stage.

"Items"

"Items" are bonuses that players receive when they clear lines (Blockles), dingles (Dinglepop) or gems (Gemmers). Players use these bonuses on themselves or on other players. They are divided in two categories; blue (generally good items) and orange (generally bad items). Fact|date=August 2008 Draw My Thing is the only game not to feature items.

Points

i'minlikewithyou, as many other websites, has a points system. These are used to many different things. Points are earned as follows:

Videos

Videos were added to i'minlikewithyou after the release of their Flash version. While watching a video, users are able to comment and draw inside of it. These comments will appear while other users watch the video. Users have the option to turn off the comments in case it gets too messy. Very similar to YouTube's new feature, Video Annotations.

In mid June, the site launched "Live!" which offers live video streaming. It is currently being alpha tested by Charles and others at the i'minlikewithyou office.
