ABPA has been operating its services through a network of service centers located through out the US.Fact|date=August 2008 The company is based in Las Vegas, Nevada.Fact|date=August 2008

Prior to 2001, ABPA was publicly traded as part of Planvista Corporation (Nasdaq: PVST). On June 18, 2001 ABPA went private, when it was acquired by Sun Capital Partners, a private equity firm, through its affiliate HealthPlan Holdings, Inc.Fact|date=August 2008

After its acquisition by Sun Capital, ABPA's growth strategy has been based mostly on growth through acquisitions.Fact|date=August 2008 As part of this strategy ABPA had acquired Administrative Services, Inc., Atlanta, Georgia, OBA Midwest, Burr Ridge, Illinois and Administrative Services, Inc., Portland, Washington.Fact|date=August 2008
