John Kettleband

John Kettleband (born 22 July 1801, Radford, Nottingham, England; died 3 April 1834, ditto) was a cricketer who represented the Nottingham club in nine first-class matches between 1826 and 1832. He failed to escape dismissal in seventeen innings, which yielded 151 runs at an average of 8.88, with a highest score of 39.

Nottingham secured his services (predominantly willow-related) for three other matches during this period, his debut having come in 1825. He was one of eleven men who took part in the county's first-ever first-class fixture, against Leicester and Sheffield in 1826, when Tom Marsden hit up an unprecedented 227, routing the neophytes by an innings and 203 runs.
