Jankovský z Vlašimi

The family Jankovský z Vlašimi origin is from ancient family Vlašimskou of Prince Vlastislaviců with Coat of Arms of the Přemyslovci Black Eagle on the family's shieldFact|date=July 2008. Beginning in the 13th Century at Jankov in Bohemia was the family line Jankovskou: z Vlašimě, z Jankova and then Jankovští z Vlašimi. First listed is Markvart z Vlašimě, father of Hynek z Vlašimě. Markvart was perhaps brother or cousin to Leva z Jankova of castle Chřenovice, Jan z Kamenice father of Cardinal Jan Očko z Vlašime and Vikarta von Polná who married Eliska, daughter of King Ottokar II of Bohemia.

Hynek I z Vlašimě and his son Hynek II ruled from the castle at Vlašim from 1303 to 1354. Maršík z Vlašimě, brother of Hynek I, died 1332 on the battlefield at Mailberk in the Tryol. Mařík and Jaroš z Vlašimě, sons of Maršík, were knighted on the battlefield in 1325. Hron z Vlašimě, son of Mařík, died with King John of Bohemia at the famous Battle of Crécy in 1346 fighting Edward, The Black Prince.

Beneš Jankovský z Vlašimě, son of Hynek I z Vlašimě, then ruled castless Jankov and Vlašim. In 1363 the family sold castle Vlašim to Michael z Vlašimě, castellan of Castle Svojanov and brother of Jan Očko z Vlašimě. Hynek, son of Beneš, secured the castle at Horní Cerekev in 1360 and Ceč Jankovský z Vlašimě inherited estate at Nemyčeves in 1376. Cec established new family line z Nemyčevsi. Matej, son of Hynek, ruled Jankov and is the father of family line Jankovští z Vlašimě.

Jan I Jankovký z Vlašimě, son of Matěj, was member of Land Court in 1405 and was given Castle Úsov in northern Moravia in 1416. Jan I sons Karel and Václav ruled Úsov and established new family line Usovský. Jan II Jankovský z Vlašimě married into family z Kunštátu, sold estates at Jankov by 1433 and established family line Jankovský z Vlašimi at Jevišovice and Slatina in southern Moravia.

In 1522 Jan, Petr, Mikuláš and Hynek of Slatina, Kyjovice, Plavec and Slavětice, who were the sons of Jindřich Jankovský z Vlašimi of Castle Rešice, were recognized by King Louis II of Hungary and Bohemia.

In 1615 brothers Volf Zikmund and Fridrich Jankovský z Vlašimi of Bítov and brothers Adam and Jiřík Jankovský z Vlašimi of Rešice were ennobled with hereditary titles of Lord by Matthias, Holy Roman Emperor,and received new Coat of Arms with the Black Eagle and the two Red Vulture Heads of z Vlašime, z Jenštejna and z Úsova.

Volf Zikmund, one of the "Moravian Directors", after the defeat of the uprising was sentenced to a loss of honor and all property but died 1622. Fridrich, "Moravian Hofrychtéř", was Catholic and faithfully on the Imperial side and acquired in 1628 the Royal Town of Jemnice.

Hynek, son of Fridrich, became Imperial Counsel to Ferdinand III, Holy Roman Emperor. Maxmilian Arnošt II Jankovský z Vlašimi (1665-1736) was good friend of Joseph I, Holy Roman Emperor, and in 1702 was made Count von Vlasching. Maxmilian Arnost II died leaving no male hire.

The family at Rešice after Jiřik Jankovský was followed by Jindřich Jankovský who founded new line Jankovských at Castle Rešice. After Jindřich's death his wife Ludmila z Lažan and her son Kral Václav Jankovský z Vlašimi (1644-1684) lived at the Royal Court of King Charles X of Sweden.

František Antonín (1690-1752), brother of Jan Antonín Jankovský z Vlašimi, in King's Tribunal was able to claim the Bitov estates for the families in 1752. But František died a few weeks after the Tribunal and the children of the two brothers became orphans. In 1755 Empress Maria Theresa of Austria awarded the Bitov estates to Austrian relatives the family von Daun.

Jan Václav Jankovský z Vlašimi (1729-1775) orphan son of Jan Antonín, was a military leader during the Seven Years' War. After his death his sons continued the Jankovský family line. In 1789 the family was in "Soupis Královských Svobodníků" (List of royal freemans) and later listed with title noble "Zeman"Fact|date=July 2008. In the 1800s the remaining family moved with John Jankovský (1845-1944) establishing a new family line in America. Nobility Jankovský z Vlašimi was restored with the visit to Czech Republic by Thomas Joseph and William Otto in 2005 and 2007Fact|date=July 2008.

The family z Nemyčevsi was a branch of the family Jankovští z Vlašime of Jankov. Cec Jankovskych z Vlašime inherited fortress Nemyčeves in northern Bohemia and establish new family line z Nemyčevsi in 1376. Čéč and sons Petra (†1411), Čéče (†1411) a Ješka (1392-1415) ruled Nemyčeves and Tur near Jičín. Petr z Nemyčevsi bought Castles Hradiště Choustník and Veselí Vysoké in 1473. Vaclav z Nemyčevsi, oldest son of Petr, in 1488 was castellan of Prague Castle and later Marshall to the King Vladislaus II of Bohemia and Hungary. In 1506 Václavův Sigmund z Nemyčevsi sold Bítozeves and in 1513 he is listed as the last of the family z Nemyčevsi.

Usovští

The family Usovští is a branch of the family Jankovští z Vlašime of Jankov. Jan I Jankovští z Vlašime , son of Matěj, moved to Moravia in 1390, was member of Land Court in 1405 and was given castle Úsov in northern Moravia in 1416 for his services by Wenceslaus, King of the Romans.

Vaclav and Karel, sons Jan I Jankovký z Vlašimě, ruled at Úsov and acquired Royal Town of Litovel in 1440. Jan II Jankovský z Vlašimě married into family z Kunštátu, retained the Black Eagle as Coat of Arms and continued family line Jankovští z Vlašimě at Jevišovice in southern Moravia in 1435.

Karel (†1503) and Jiří (†1520), sons of Václav z Vlašimě, adopted in 1480 the Coat of Arms of the two Red Vulture z Vlašime and new title z Úsova. In 1496 they acquired castle Sobotín. Jiřík z Úsova in the years 1516-1520 was made Vice-Chamberlain of Moravian Margraviate by King Louis II of Hungary and Bohemia.

Both Karel and brother Jiří only had daughters and the Úsov estates were given to Kryštof z Boskovic, grandson of Václav z Vlašime. Beginning in 1527, the daughters and relatives the family z Boskovic ruled Úsov and Litovel. Granddaughters Anna married Prince Karel of the Princely family of Liechtenstein and Katerina married his brother Maximilian.
