In 1984-1985 Shuvalov worked as a laboratory worker in the Institute Ekos. In 1985-1987 he served in the
Soviet Army then was accepted to the Law Department ofMoscow State University . After graduation the University in 1992 he worked as anattache at the Legal Department of the Soviet Ministry for Foreign Affairs. In 1993-1997 Shuvalov worked as a lawyer and then the President of a legal consulting firm "ALM".In 1997-1998 Shuvalov worked as a head of a department and then a Deputy Chief of the
Committee on the State Properties (GosKomImuschestvo). From25 May 1998 to6 September 1998 he works as the Acting President and from6 September 1998 to18 May 2000 as the President of the Russian Federal Fund of State Properties.18 May 2000 Shuvalov became a minister in theMikhail Kasyanov's Cabinet . He got the portfolio of the "Head of the Governmental Apparatus". On28 May 2003 Shuvalov became an aide to President Vladimir Putin.On
