In software development, a net negative producing programmer (NNPP) is a member of the software development team whose negative contributions toward the project's success outweigh their positive contributions. The term may also be applied to members of the team who don't actually program, such as technical writers, business analysts or testers if they don't help in the achievement of tangible business value in the creation of the software in question.
