Richelle Mead (born November 12, 1976) is a bestselling [cite web |url= |title=Best Sellers : Children's Books |date=2008-04-27 |publisher=New York Times] American fantasy author. She has three ongoing series: the "Georgina Kincaid" series, the "Vampire Academy" series, and most recently the "Dark Swan" series. All are available internationally, and "Succubus Blues" will be published in German in 2009. She was born in Michigan, and now lives in Seattle. She has three degrees: a Bachelor of General Studies from the University of Michigan, a Master of Comparative Religion from Western Michigan University, and a Master of Teaching from the University of Washington.
