YAGO (Ontology)

YAGO (Yet Another General Ontology (?)) is a huge semantic knowledge base. Currently, YAGO knows over 1.7 million entities (like persons, organizations, cities, etc.). It knows about 14 million facts about these entities. A Web-Interface allows users to pose questions to YAGO in the form of queries on the YAGO homepage. YAGO is being developed at the Max Planck Institute for Computer Science.

YAGO is automatically extracted from Wikipedia and uses Wordnet to structure information.
