- William Stafford (conspirator)
William Stafford lived from 1554 to 1612. He was the son of William Stafford (1500-1565), lord Chebsey, who had been the brother-in-law of Henry VIII of England and the uncle of Elizabeth I. Stafford was the child of William Stafford's second marriage to Ursula Stafford.
Stafford was imprisoned in the Tower of London after a plot to persuade Elizabeth I to execute Mary, Queen of Scots.
