Margrét Lára is currently part of Iceland's national team and competed in UEFA Women's Euro 2009, having finished the qualifiers as the overall top scorer. Margrét Lára currently plays for Turbine Potsdam at club level.[1]
She won the Damallsvenskan top scorer award in 2011.[2]
In October 2011 she signed for German champions Turbine Potsdam. Transferring after the transfer window she is eligible for league and Champions League matches from 1 January 2012.[2]
