The Jeremiah Singers comprises a group of budding high school singers from Ruamrudee International School in Bangkok, Thailand. It is under the musical direction of Jose Librodo, a native citizen of the Philippines. Founded initally by Marcelina Sawetsewi, the Jeremiah Singers was endorsed to Librodo in 1991 and from then on, he has taken over up to present.

Under Librodo, the Jeremiah Singers have accomplished a lot; polished their musical skills; acquired a wide-range of repertoire; developed a good number of followers and have recorded two albums to date.

As amateurs, the Jeremiah Singers is recognized in Thailand as a powerhouse of talents. It has participated in international choral festivals held in Bangkok. As musical ambassadors, they take part in many events that included the Mekong River Peace Project and EARCOS where they performed in front of Princess Soamsavali Kitiyakara. In 2007, the Jeremiah Singers was interviewed by a "Bangkok educational magazine". This enabled the group to have its much needed publicity on a national basis. In 2008, they starred in their first musicale that highlighted several excerpts from the Broadway hits of today and yesterday. The choir has recorded the "a' cappella" version of the "Thai Royal Anthem." Their version of the Anthem was played in EGV and Major Cineplex theaters throughout the Kingdom of Thailand prior to showtime of movies and films on the big screen.

History

The present conductor of the Jeremiah Singers is Mr. Jose Librodo.He is multi-talented and a self-taught artist who loves to paint in water color. Under him, the Jeremiah Singers has accomplished quite a bit in terms of music performances. Its earlier milestone included a record deal in CD with EMI RECORDS entitled, Simply Voices and recorded in 1999.
