- Reinland
Reinland is a small town in
Manitoba located about 10 minutes south ofWinkler, Manitoba , and about 5 minutes north of US border. It has apopulation of about 500. It was one of the first Mennonite villages established in the west reserve and has some of the best examples of original Mennonite village setup and buildings.The village is part of the RM of Rhineland. The village also has one of the oldest wooden churches in Western Canada that is still in use. Built by the Old Colony Mennonite settlers in 1878, the church was utilized as a sanctuary up until the early 1970's at which time it was turned into a community hall.
Its economy is agrarian based.
