- Elton on the Hill
Elton on the Hill is a small village and
civil parish in theVale of Belvoir , about 14 miles east ofNottingham ,England . It contains two roads, Station Road to the north of the A52 and Sutton Lane to the south,Sutton being the nearest village on the southern side. Elton has a population of about 75 and is in theRushcliffe district. It has two pubs and one church but no other public buildings. The Medieval church is namedSt. Michael and All Angels' Church, Elton on the Hill and the nearest station to the village is theElton and Orston railway station . The village straddles the A52.There used to be a manor house, with extensive grounds, in the village; this was demolished in the early part of the 20th century.
