Virgin Radio Italia starts broadcasting on July 12, 2007 at 12:00 AM (with the song "What a Wonderful World" of Joey Ramone) on the former FM and satellite frequencies of "Play Radio". It is owned by Gruppo Finelco and Virgin Group and broadcasts Rock music (Rockabilly, Hard rock, Punk rock, Rock and roll and more.

It is also broadcast on SKY Italia channel 700.
