The Torre Reforma is a construction
skyscraper inMexico City ,Mexico . With a height of 244 meters (766 ft) to the roof and holding 57 floors, it will be the tallest skyscraper inLatin America , exceeding both the "Torre Mayor " (740 ft) in Mexico City and theParque Central Complex (738ft) inCaracas ,Venezuela .Construction began in May 2008. The complex will host a restaurant, a shopping mall and entertainment areas. The construction of the building will be managed by Vertical Capital Group while LBR and Architects will take care of development.
Construction
It's currently being built at
Paseo de la Reforma #483, a few steps away from the "Torre Mayor", at the site currently occupied by a gay nightclub (Living Room) on the Paseo de la Reforma. It was firstly planned to demolish a 1930s house next to the site, but in the last day was concluded to keep it and use it as the main entrance to the building.Description
The building will contain 35,000 m of
office space and 35,000 m of retail space. It will take about 35 lifts (elevators), reaching a maximum advance of 6.8 meters per second. Significantly, it will be along with the World Trade Center the building with the most elevators in Latin America.On May 22, 2008, this was released on the

That Tower Reform is the highest skyscraper under construction in Mexico.In addition, "Torre Reforma" will be submitted for international certification as a LEED building sustainable.
The tower will also feature an underground parking garage with a capacity of 1,161 vehicles.
The controller designing "Torre Reforma" explained that the building will grow in its upper floors to avoid occupy the entire property available, i.e., its plant will be closer to its peak.
As both "Torre Mayor" and "Torre Reforma" are only a few steps away, "Chilango" entertainment magazine marked them as the "non-twin towers", in reference to the New York destroyed Twin Towers.
