Woodwalton Marsh is a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest [ [http://www.english-nature.org.uk/Special/sssi/sssi_details.cfm?sssi_id=1003320 Natural England] ] managed as a nature reserve by the Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire and Peterborough. [ [http://www.wildlifebcnp.org/reserves/reserve.php?reserveid=76 Wildlife Trust: Woodwalton Marsh and Five Arches Pit] ] It is located north of the village of Wood Walton alongside the East Coast railway line.
