The St. Louis Chill are a professional ice hockey team based in St. Louis, Missouri. The team is part of the Midwest Hockey League and will start their inaugural season November 2008. The team will play 20 home games and 20 away games in the 40 game season. The Chill will play at the Lindenwood Ice Arena located in Wentzville, Missouri, a suburb of St. Louis

Franchise History

The team was previously known as the Louisville Chill until August 2008 when the franchise was purchased by an ownership group from St. Louis. The team was slated to play at the Alpine Ice Arena in Louisville, Kentucky but after months of work in the Louisville market it was determined to be unfavorable for a franchise due to lack of local business interest and support [http://themwhl.com/news_18.php] .
