The Trans-Pennine Express Traincare Facility is based at Ardwick, Manchester. Built by Siemens at a cost of over £28 million, the facility is designed to service the Desiro trains Siemens built for First TransPennine Express.
The depot comprises a four road maintenance shed, offices, workshop, stores and a train wash facility with undercarriage wash and CET/refuelling platforms.
The Traincare Facility also operates as a depot for Virgin Pendolino's.
