The Archdiocese of Moscow, also known as Archdiocese of Mother of God at Moscow ({Latin: " Moscovien(sis) Matris Dei", _ru. "Матери Божией в Москве") is an archdiocese of the Catholic Church located in the city of Moscow, in Russia.

History

* April 13, 1991: Established as Apostolic Administration of European Russia from the Archdiocese of Mogilev [http://www.geocities.com/CapitolHill/Rotunda/2209/Catholic_Russia.html] and the Diocese of Tiraspol [ [http://www.katolsk.no/utenriks/kronologi/russia.htm Chronology of Catholic Dioceses: Russia ] ]
* November 23, 1999: Territory ceded to the new Apostolic Administration of Southern European Russia, centred in Saratov; remaining territory renamed Apostolic Administration of Northern European Russia
* February 11, 2002: Promoted as Metropolitan Archdiocese of Mother of God at Moscow
