On August 31 1941 only after two months after April War, and one month after General Draža Mihailović created Chetniks, was the first battle in occupied Yugoslavia. After the battle Loznica was the first free city in Europe during Second world war.

Background

On May 13 Draža Mihailović was created Chetniks army,and he wanted to liberated one city in Serbia.The Veselin Misita commander of Jadar Chetniks wanted to the liberated Loznica first.On May 1941 he was propaganded a uprising in people.

Battle

Veselin Misita with group of Chetniks was attack the roads for Šabac and Valjevo,then he attack Bogatić,Mačvanska Mitrovica and Loznica.Veselin Misita was killed in Loznica during the battle.After his dead command of battle were take Bogdan Drljača and Georgije Bojić.the battle was ended nex day,after battle Germans killed 3,000 civilians in wilage Draginac.In next week Germans attack Chetniks on Zavalica.
