Shraga Feivel Zimmerman

Rabbi Shraga Feivel Zimmerman is the ABD (Town rabbi) of the Jewish community in Gateshead. He took up his appointment in 2008, in succession to Rabbi Bezalel Rakow, who died in 2003. He served previously as rabbi to a Community in Monsey, USA.

Rabbi Zimmerman's induction was attended by the premier chareidi rabbis in England, Rabbi Ephraim Padwa of UOHC and Rabbi Mendel Shneebalg of Manchester's Machzikei Hadath community.

Rabbi Zimmerman is an alumnus of the Mirrer yeshiva. He has previously been a dayan in K'Hal Adath Jeshurun, the chareidi community of Washington Heights, Manhattan, [ [http://www.kashrusmagazine.com/ksg/nyc/bx_man.htm 2001 Kosher supervision guide] ] where he served as the rabbi of its Monsey community. He is a grandson of Rabbi Yonah Yosef Tsvi Horowitz, rabbi of Unsdorf and Frankfurt and in Letchworth during the war years.
