Net 40 and KCR Live
KCR Live, which is operated by
KCR 106.7 , is the home of The Net 40, which launched on the 1st June 2008.The Net 40 team approached station management at
KCR 106.7 to ask about studio time. A deal was quickly made, and KCR Live became home of the Net 40, although the Net 40 still remains the property of The Carter Group.Unsigned Artists
Unsigned artists are wholly encouraged to upload their own material to the Net 40, to compete directly for the vote of the users against commercial tracks. The prime focus of this, is to promote the talent of unsigned bands, helping them to be discovered. Many unsigned artists sell their music and music-related merchandise without the financial support of a record label, while often seeking a recording contract through the recording of demos.
