- President's Committee on the Arts and Humanities
The President's Committee on the Arts and Humanities was established in Washington, DC in 1982 by an Executive Order from President Ronald Reagan. The Committee's role is to identify issues and develop initiatives in the arts and the humanities that the President and Committee members deem to be of critical importance to the United States.
Members
Members of the Committee are private citizens appointed by the President. The First Lady serves as the Honorary Chair.
