Jiang Daming (
Chinese language : 姜大明;Hanyu Pinyin : Jiāng Dàmíng) (b. 1953) is a politician of thePeople's Republic of China . He is the current governor ofShandong province.Biography
In 1969, Jiang became one of the
Rusticated Youth of China , and was sent down to work in a factory inHeilongjiang province. He joined theCommunist Party of China in 1976. In 1978, he enteredHeilongjiang University to studyphilosophy . After graduating in 1982, Jiang worked in the central organization ministry of theCommunist Youth League of China . He began to gradually move up the ranks there, finally becoming the head of the organization ministry in 1990. He became the Party secretary for the organization ministry in 1993. In 1998, Jiang became the vice-chairman of theAll-China Youth Federation . In July of that same year, he went to Shandong to work, and became the minister of organization there. In 2000, he took on the concurrent position of deputy secretary there. In 2004, he became the Party secretary forJinan city. On13 June ,2007 , Jiang was elevated to the position of deputy governor of Shandong province. Finally, on26 January ,2008 , he was selected to become governor of the province. His primary responsibilities include public finance, taxation, and planning. Jiang Daming has also been a representative at the15th National Congress of the Communist Party of China , an alternate member of the16th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China , a member of the17th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China , and a member of the 9thChinese People's Political Consultative Conference .
