Carlos Azevedo (born 1949 in Lisbon, Portugal)=Biography=Carlos Azevedo is a Portuguese composer and pianist.
Having studied composition with
Jorge Peixinho , he is a classical XXth century composer. He is also and ajazz pianist and composer.While he was a teacher and Director of the
Jazz School at theHot Club of Portugal , he taught many. He has been accompanied on stage among others byJan A. P. Kaczmarek (Oscar winner for the “BestOriginal Score in 2005),Steve Potts ,Paleka ,Maria João .He performed in a variety of Festivals such as the
Bruges Jazz Festival inBelgium .=Prizes=He is an award winning composer. Among prizes he won a “Gold Leopard” Award for Best

theatre , cinema, and for most of the groups in which he plays.
