Poonam Mahajan Rao

Poonam Mahajan Rao (born 1980) in a Maharashtrian Deshastha Brahmin family is an upcoming Indian politician. She is the daughter of Mrs Rekha Mahajan and the late Pramod Mahajan who was an prominent leader in BJP and in Indian Politics. She and her brother Rahul Mahajan both are trained pilots. She is married to Anand Rao Vajendla, an industrialist from Hyderabad.

Poonam Mahajan Rao is known for her dynamic approach and effective communication skills. Being youth oriented she is very popular among the young party workers in Maharashtra. She is also making a mark for herself through her oratory skills which is well appreciated by masses and intellectuals alike. Despite facing tremendous turbulent times over the past few years she has been working very hard for BJP's progress in Maharashtra and is creating her own position in state level politics.

She is currently General Secretary of Bharatiya Janta Yuva Morcha - Maharashtra and an upcoming politician in BJP ranks,She also formed a BJYM IT Cell to gather a IT people under one roof, Mr Sujeet Shilamkar & Mr.Madhukar Mazire, the IT engineers heads the Cell, according to sourceswho she declined a role in national level working of BJP as she wished to work from grassroots level of her home state initially, before gradually progressing on her self merit to the national stage.
