Johan Wilhelm Rangell (born in
Hauho onOctober 25 ,1894 ; diedMarch 12 ,1982 inHelsinki ) was a Finnish Prime Minister who served from 1941 to 1943. He was an economist with little political experience at first. That stated he is known for refusing a Nazi proposal to transport Finnish Jews to Poland. He also defended the occupation ofEast Karelia .
