Auchmuty High School

Auchmuty High School is situated in the town of Glenrothes. It was built in 1956, opening to secondary school pupils in April 1957. An extension was added in 1972. Auchmuty High serves the east of Glenrothes and the villages of Markinch, Star, Coalton, Coalton of Balgonie.The school roll is currently 1260. The school motto is 'Achieving High Standards'. The school celebrated its 50th Anniversary with a series of events in June 2007. HMIe inspected the school in February 2007 and the report was published in June of that year. An interim follow through inspection took place in April 2008 with the findings published in July.
