Vulcanite is a rare mineral composed of the two elements Copper and Tellurium. It was approved by the International Mineral Association as a valid mineral in 1961. It is named after the locality where it was discovered, the Good Hope Mine in Vulcan, Gunnison County, Colorado, USA.

As of January 1 2008, it has only been found in one mine in the Western Hemisphere, the Good Hope Mine. However, small deposits have also been discovered in Japan, Russia, Saudi Arabia, and Norway. The mineral has a metallic luster, and is a green or bronze-yellow shade. It has a hardness between 1 and 2 on the Moh's scale (between talc and gypsum). Its crystal structure is orthorhombic.
