Fatajawana

Fatajawana is a small village in South Africa. It is mostly populated by tribes and animals for the most part. There is no electricity, running water, or any sort of "code-safe" buildings. It consists of a town circle that is surrounded by many small huts made out of mud and various foliage. The inhabitants of this small village are prone to many cultural regularities. The men each take multiple wives, who are each given different jobs in the family. For instance, one will be designated to have the husband's children, and be solely in charge of the reproduction process. Another wife will be the mother, the one who actually takes care of all of the children. Another will be in charge of the animals, which often include chicken, goats, and if the family is wealthy then maybe a few cows as well. Another wife will be in charge of the gardens, which include fruit trees, and many plants that will help feed the family. And lastly one wife will be solely for the husband's pleasure. Her job will consist on doting on the husband and making sure all of his needs are met, and he is satisfied. The village is run by a chief and his council. The chief's hut is in the middle of the town circle, and has a very large room that is used as a meeting place for the council. The council is comprised of the oldest and wisest men in the village. They make decisions such as who should marry who, how to better care for the crops, and they mostly focus on hunting parties. The old men are strategists and help design great hunting parties, which all of the young boys, young men, and fathers and husbands partake in. They will be gone for weeks at a time, hunting and bringing back the kills to the village.
