:"This article is about Beth, the musician. For other uses of the name Beth, see Beth."Elisabeth Rodergas, better known as Beth, (born December 23, 1981 in Barcelona) is a popular musician in Spain. She was born in Barcelona, and spent her childhood in Súria, a town near Barcelona. Her desire to discover the world and learn about other cultures has taken her on several trips abroad, including to Africa, where she participated in a humanitarian aid programme. She also lived in the United Kingdom for a few months after completing her studies. Now back in Spain, she shares an apartment with her cousin in Barcelona, where she combines her work as a singer with studies in musical theatre.

In 2003 she competed in the musical talent show Operación Triunfo. She finished third, but in a separate vote was selected by the audience to compete in the Eurovision Song Contest 2003. Her entry, "Dime", was not a huge success in the Spanish charts, and in the contest itself ended up in eighth place. She recorded her first and second album in London, with the second being recorded in English.

Beth is a familiar face in Catalonia's TV3 station, having worked as collaborator in programs like "Jo vull ser", "El Club" and the 20th anniversary special of ski program "Temps de Neu".

Beth debuted as theater actress in November 16, 2006 with the comedy play "Pels Pèls" in Barcelona's Teatre Borràs.

She debuted like an actress in 2008 in the spanish soap opera Lalola.

Trivia

* Beth was 3rd in the Spanish version of Fame Academy, Operación Triunfo. First was Ainhoa and second was Manuel Carrasco
* While at the casting for Operación Triunfo, she told reporters for TVE that she would love to win the show, but she'd "rather die than enter Eurovision".
* Beth's video for 'Vuelvo a Ti' gained controversy in Spain as she was filmed smoking a cigarette various times during the video. When it was aired on Spanish television, a picture of a spinning vinyl was replaced with these images. Also, she is seen smoking on her new video for Rain On Me, although this hasn't been replaced as she doesn't inhale.
* Beth's connection to Britain is huge:
* Before Operación Triunfo, she spent 2 years in London.
* Her new album is fully in English, and has been released in England, 2 months before its Spanish release.
* Beth reported for BBC's Newsround in 2003 covering the hype for the Operación Triunfo final.
