Pietro Gallocia or Galluzzi (born ca. 1120/30,
Rome - died 1211, Rome) was an Italian cardinal.He was apostolic subdeacon and governor of
Campagna in the pontificate ofPope Alexander III (1159-1181).Pope Lucius III created him Cardinal-Deacon of S. Nicola in Carcere in1185 [Some sources identified cardinal Pietro of S. Nicola created in 1185 with cardinalPietro Diana , who became cardinal-priest of S. Cecilia in 1188] , andPope Clement III named himCardinal-Bishop of Porto e Santa Rufina in1190 . He participated in thepapal election, 1185 ,papal election, October 1187 ,papal election, December 1187 ,papal election, 1191 andpapal election, 1198 . Papal legate inConstantinople 1192-1193.In 1204 he consecrated King
Peter II of Aragon , who was solemnly crowned by thePope Innocent III . He becameDean of the Sacred College of Cardinals in April 1206. He died at Rome at very advanced age.ource
