- Little Opera Company
The Little Opera Company (LOC) is a semi-professional
chamber opera company based inLondon .About the Little Opera Company
The LOC was created with the aim of bringing opera to new audiences, particularly young people, and to challenge traditional stereotypes of opera and opera singers. It offers performance opportunities to young singers, particularly those who have just finished
music college , and who often struggle to find work with established opera companies. It also aims to foster young talent in other professions involved in opera, by giving experience to aspiring directors, designers, conductors and instrumentalists. The LOC supports new music and has commissioned a new one-act opera by composer
Christopher Meux .As well as fully staged productions, the LOC undertakes a programme of smaller events including chamber concerts and private functions.
