Daemon Sadi

Daemon Sadi is a fictional character in Anne Bishop's the Black Jewels Trilogy. He is the son of Tersa, a broken Black Widow, and Saetan Daemon SaDiablo, High Lord of Hell. He wears the Black and is a combination Black-Jeweled Warlord Prince and Black Widow, one of only two such combinations, the other being his father. He is the Consort of Jaenelle Angelline's Court at Ebon Askavi, and is now also happily married to Jaenelle. [Bishop, Anne. "Dreams Made Flesh." New York: Roc, 2005] He has three half-brothers: Mephis SaDiablo, Peyton SaDiablo, and Lucivar Yaslana; however, only one of these is still living. His precise age is unknown, although assumed to be several millenia. He is not the archetypal hero of this or any other novel, rather he is a Byronic hero, typified in the writings of Lord Byron in the Romantic Period of Literature.

Attributes

Daemon is originally from the Terreillean territory of Hayll, meaning he has the typical long life, golden skin, golden eyes and dark hair. It is said that he looks exactly like a younger version of his father. He usually wears a white shirt and black pants, although this outfit is only worn when Daemon himself is allowed to choose what he wears. He wears his fingernails long and paints them black in order to hide his Black Widow nail.

Before joining Jaenelle's court, Daemon was kept as a pleasure slave in the Court of Dorothea, a dark-jeweled Priestess who loaned him out to any of her "pet" Queens that asked for his services. He killed many of these Queens, and even escaped Dorothea for an entire century, but was brought back to Terreille by her threats to dismember his brother Lucivar, also a slave. After breaking away from his last Queen, Alexandra Angelline, Jaenelle's grandmother, he never returned to service in a court until he joined Jaenelle's at Ebon Askavi. Powers and Abilities

Daemon wears the Black Jewel, to which he descended from his birthright Red. He and his father are the only males ever known to wear the Black; usually it is worn by Witch. His fighting skills, while not negligible, are not comparable to his brother Lucivar's.

Due to his centuries as a pleasure slave, his bedroom skills are not matched anywhere in the Realms. He is capable of bringing a female to climax with only the touch of phantom hands, his pleasure trademark. However, he takes great pleasure in leaving his mistress unsatisfied and even in physical pain, the gift which earned him the nickname 'the Sadist.' [Bishop, Anne.
