Night of the Running Man is a 1995 American crime thriller film produced by Trimark Pictures and American World Pictures[1] starring Andrew McCarthy and Scott Glenn. It is based on the 1981 novel by Lee Wells[2], who also wrote the screenplay for the film. The film debuted on HBO before being released direct-to-video.

Plot

After down and out Las Vegas cab driver Jerry Logan (Andrew McCarthy) picks up a fare who is then murdered in a high speed chase, he discovers a million dollars left behind in his cab, and decides to run with it. Soon, the mob's most relentless hired gun, David Eckhart (Scott Glenn) is enlisted to retrieve the money and terminate Jerry. What follows is a deadly game of cat and mouse that can only end with one man left standing.

A region 2 DVD for the film was released by Rainbow in 2006.[3] Elsewhere, the film remains available only on VHS.[4]
