The Lüdenscheider Nachrichten (LN) is a regional daily
newspaper inLüdenscheid and the surrounding area in southern Märkischen Kreis. It is the largest newspaper in Lüdenscheid. The "LN"appear daily (sometimes even onholidays ) except Sundays. The"LN" in 2004 celebrated its 150th anniversary. It belongs to the publisher, media group Dirk Ippen.The Lüdenscheider Nachrichten from Märkischen Zeitungsverlag published. These include, with its own local parts,Meinerzhagener Zeitung (MZ), the Altenaer Kreisblatt (AK), the Allgemeine Anzeiger (AA,
Halver ) and the Süderländer Volksfreund (SV,Werdohl ). The LN editorially and technically cooperate with the Süderländer Tageblatt (ST,Plettenberg ) and the Mendener Zeitung (MeZ), with the ST in independent publishing and the MeZ partner in a publishing house. TheMeinerzhagen total circulation of printed LN, MZ, AK, AA, SV, ST is approximately 48,000 copies.At the beginning of the 1990s were also in the northern part of Märkischen Kreises new newspaper title founded: The "Neue Iserlohner Presse", the "Neue Hemeraner Presse" and the "Neue Letmather Presse". After a short time these titles disappeared again from the market.
