During some period, Fort Robinson included an opera house, or operas were staged in one of its buildings, perhaps the Army Theatre.See National Park Service multiple property submissions [http://www.nr.nps.gov/multiples/64500157.pdf Footlights in Farm Country: Iowa Opera Houses MPS] and/or [http://www.nr.nps.gov/multiples/64500760.pdf Iowa Opera Halls and Opera Houses MPS] .]

It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.Note: A National Register of Historic Places Inventory-Nomination document should be available upon request from the National Park Service for this site, but it appears not to be available on-line from the [http://nrhp.focus.nps.gov/natreghome.do?searchtype=natreghome NPS Focus search site] .]
