List of people convicted under Anti-Terrorism Act in the United Kingdom

The Parliament of the United Kingdom has passed a series of Terrorism Acts. The following is a list of known arrests and convictions under the acts since 2001;

*Samina Malik, a 23-year old female clerk at W H Smith retailers, convicted of writing poetry and owning books glorifying terrorism. Given a 9-month suspended sentence.

2003

*Mohammed Abdullah Azam, computer programmer convicted of "collecting information" related to terrorism in March 2003

2005

*Younes Tsouli, 21-year old who posted online as "Irhab007", and was sentenced to 16 years' imprisonment for "inciting another person to commit an act of terrorism".

2006

*Mohammed Atif Siddique, Scottish 20-year old charged with "collecting terrorist-related information" under the Terrorism Act on April 26 2006, sentenced to eight years' imprisonment.
*Ahmed Abdullah Ali, 25-year old arrested August 10 2006 in relation to the 2006 transatlantic aircraft plot
*Nabeel Hussain, 22-year old arrested August 10 2006 in relation to the 2006 transatlantic aircraft plot. All charges were later dropped.
*Tanvir Hussain, 25-year old arrested August 10 2006 in relation to the 2006 transatlantic aircraft plot
*Arafat Waheed Khan, 24-year old arrested August 10 2006 in relation to the 2006 transatlantic aircraft plot
*Assad Sarwar, 26-year old arrested August 10 2006 in relation to the 2006 transatlantic aircraft plot
*Waheed Zaman, 22-year old arrested August 10 2006 in relation to the 2006 transatlantic aircraft plot
*Shamin Mohammed Uddin, 35-year old arrested August 10 2006 in relation to the 2006 transatlantic aircraft plot
*Oliver Savant, 25-year old arrested August 10 2006 in relation to the 2006 transatlantic aircraft plot
