"The First Olympics" is a 1988 gamebook by Ben M. Baglio. It is the 77th book in the "Choose Your Own Adventure" series.

Plot summary

As in the other books in the series, the reader is portrayed as the protagonist of the story, referred to in the present tense and by the second-person pronoun "you." While vacationing in Greece and visiting the ruins of Olympia, the protagonist enters a cave similar to the time portal in "The Cave of Time" and finds himself transported back to Greece circa 500 B.C. There, he has the chance to take part in the Olympic games of that period, either as a wrestler or chariot racer.
