Vidyut Sivaramakrishnan

Vidyut Venkatraman Sivaramakrishnan (born December 3, 1981) is an Indian cricketer. He comes from a family of cricketers - he is the son of a cricketer Venkatraman Sivaramankrishnan and nephew of Venkatraman Ramnarayan. He is married and lives in Chennai, India.

Early life

Vidyut wanted to play hockey early in life but soon changed his mind and decided to play cricket. He soon became a cricketer in his school. He started off his cricketing career as a left arm orthodox spin bowler, but is now a full-time top order batsman. In his school he had put up a 100 run partneship with his classmate Abhinand Gopalan in 1996Fact|date=May 2008 and was soon selected for the List A team.

Career

Vidyut played for Tamil Nadu in the Ranji Trophy. In 2008, he played for Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League.

He made 152 in the A list team and now is the key player in Indian Premier League Championship. He is also the only number 11 batsman from India (and fourth in the world) to score a first class century.
