James A. Hamilton

James A. Hamilton (January 24, 1876 New York City - May 7, 1950) was an American politician.

Life

He was a school teacher. He was a member of the New York State Senate from the 22nd District from 1915 to 1916. He was NYC Commissioner of Correction from 1918 to 1922. He was Secretary of State of New York from 1923 to 1924. He was an alternate delegate to the 1928 Democratic National Convention. He was New York State Industrial Commissioner from 1925 to 1929.
