This is a referenced list of notable Dutch people who are known to follow a vegan, vegetarian, or pescetarian diet. Included are Dutch people who have self-identified as vegan, vegetarian or pescetarian or whose diet has been backed by reliable sources.
Because there are many meatless diets, ranging from those who allow the consumption of fish to those who limit their diet to eating ripe fruits of plants and trees, a lot of misunderstanding has arisen about what does qualify as vegetarian and what does not. The most common form of vegetarianism in the Western world is ovo-lacto vegetarianism. Generally speaking, when someone uses the term "vegetarian", ovo-lacto vegetarianism is assumed. Such a diet excludes all animal flesh and slaughter by-products such gelatine and rennet.[note label|Note1|c|cnote label|Note1|d|d NVB chairperson. The "Nederlandse Vegetariërsbond" (English: Dutch Vegetarian Society) is an organisation dedicated to serving the interests of Dutch vegetarians.]
