Jim Fleeting is an English luthier. He is best known for building the UK's first nine-string bass guitar [ Yorkshire Post, 13 December 2007. http://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/localnews/Guitarmaker-claims-39UK-first39-for.3582897.jp] .

The Yorkshire Post has described him as
